Electric trucks can recharge in Rouen

Milence has inaugurated its dedicated electric truck charging hub in Heudebouville, 40 km south of Rouen.

Milence is a joint venture between Daimler Truck, the Traton Group, and Volvo Trucks. Located just four minutes from the A13 motorway, this charging hub, Milence’s first in France, is strategically situated in the Seine Eure Agglomeration’s logistics district. It is a key route for carriers and truck drivers traveling between Paris and other major logistics hubs in the Normandy Region, such as Le Havre, France’s largest container port, Caen, Dieppe, and Rouen. The site is easily accessible to trucks, making it a convenient and safe stopping point for drivers without straying too far from their usual route.

The Heudebouville charging facility will be developed in two distinct phases. With the opening of the hub, the first phase is complete. The station includes four high-performance combined CCS chargers spread across four bays. Several service facilities are located nearby, including restrooms, showers, and a restaurant. The second phase, expected to be completed by the end of the year, will include additional charging bays equipped with Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology and a dedicated service station for drivers.

Milence charging hubs are open to all trucks regardless of brand. To ensure access for every truck on the market, Milence has signed agreements with various electronic mobility service providers across Europe. Their cards can be used for payments.

To ensure a smooth charging process, Milence has developed an app for its customers, allowing them to easily locate the nearest charging station and make payments across multiple sites.

The default charging rate set by Milence is €0.399 per kWh excluding VAT and transaction fees. This charging rate applies to all hubs in all countries operated by Milence. The applicable rate can be viewed in the Milence app and displayed at the charging station.
