Ionity recharge

Ionity presents two new subscriptions that allow users to adjust their monthly charging volumes to their actual car usage.

Ionity has challenged itself to make high-power charging of up to 350 kW increasingly affordable, and it is making every effort to achieve this!

Starting May 28, Ionity is reducing charging costs in 12 European countries, including France. Additionally, the operator is offering new subscription plans with flexible terms tailored to different mileage needs of users. Two subscriptions provide significant discounts compared to pay-as-you-go charging without a subscription:

  • The “PASSPORT MOTION IONITY”, at €5.99 per month (€3.99 for the first month), which is €0.39 per kWh, ideal for drivers covering about 150 km per month
  • The “PASSPORT POWER IONITY”, at €11.90 per month (€7.99 for the first month), which is €0.33 per kWh, more suitable for those driving close to 300 km per month.

Users can switch from one subscription to another based on their needs and consumption, for example, for vacations or special occasions.

A quick look at these offers reveals that their main goal is to attract occasional highway drivers into Ionity’s network. A new subscriber is a valuable asset for an operator, as having an Ionity card means prioritizing Ionity stations for charging. Moreover, at just €6 per month, who would think about canceling their subscription? So the approach is clearly commercial and not at all altruistic, but after all, it doesn’t matter!

With just 12 annual highway trips, the subscription pays for itself, so why hold back?
