The new Alpine A290 in photos

Alpine has unveiled the A290, its small 5-seater 100% electric sports car, in a world premiere at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Visually, it was reasonable not to expect anything other than a “sportified” version of its diamond cousin, the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric. But the result is visually striking with many differentiating elements, particularly the light signatures that make the A290 much more than just a R5.

The little car with the arrow-shaped A adopts an impressive body kit consisting of specific bumpers, side skirts, sporty wheels with a large diameter, very generous fender flares, and of course, a rich array of aerodynamic appendages. The spirit of the Renault 5 Alpine is very much present in this A290!
