What does the spectacular Lamborghini Tecnomar 101FT yacht hide?

In search of diversification, Lamborghini captivates the yachting world and renews the experience with its new Tecnomar 101FT.

Lamborghini is no longer limited to the roads. After enchanting generations of enthusiasts with its supercars, the Italian brand is now venturing into an unexpected playground: the sea. In partnership with The Italian Sea Group, it unveiled the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT at the Monaco Yacht Show, a yacht measuring nearly 30 meters that aims to be the floating embodiment of the DNA of Sant’Agata Bolognese.

This is not Lamborghini’s first foray into the water. In 2020, the shipyard and the car brand had already presented the Tecnomar 63, a fast and luxurious yacht that appealed to a selected clientele. But this time, the scale is changing: with its 101 feet (about 30 meters), the new model aims for the status of a true superyacht, at the intersection of nautical innovation and automotive design.

The supercar of the seas?

It’s impossible to miss the lineage: the Tecnomar 101FT takes on the aesthetic codes of the Italian brand, from its taut lines to the headlights inspired by the Fenomeno concept car, as well as the Giallo Crius shade chosen for its world premiere. Even the dashboard echoes the atmosphere of supercar cockpits, strongly inspired by the recent Temerario, the new Lamborghini hybrid.

Inside, the motifs beloved by the brand are present: hexagons, “Y” shaped designs, contrasting stitching. The yacht can accommodate nine guests and has three cabins, in an atmosphere that Lamborghini promises to be “as comfortable as exhilarating.”

Power worthy of the crest

Under the hood – or rather in the engine room – the Tecnomar 101FT aligns three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, for a total power of 7600 horsepower. The result: a claimed top speed of 45 knots (over 80 km/h) and a cruising speed of 35 knots. Impressive figures for a yacht of this size, which comes to compete with pure performance boats while offering the volumes of a yacht.

Let’s be clear: the Tecnomar 101FT is not designed to revolutionize boating but to make an impact. It is a brand image product, a status object that extends the Lamborghini brand beyond automobiles and serves as a showcase for Italian exclusivity.

Unveiled at the model stage at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Tecnomar 101FT is expected to see its first unit delivered by the end of 2027. This is not about mass production, but rather a few highly targeted units. It remains to be seen whether, by 2027, the tide will turn towards super-powered yachts… or if the green wave will eventually catch up with these ultra-polluting and anachronistic floating objects.
