The 2024 edition of the Honda Customs preparation contest has crowned the “Bunker Imprint” from Turkey, a modern take on a classic Cafe Racer.
For this 2024 edition, the Honda Customs contest specified the CL500 and CL250 models as the base for preparations. Ultimately, 9 countries competed with 16 preparations showcased during the Wheels and Waves festival in Biarritz and on the dedicated website hondacustoms.com. With a distinctly original retro look, the CL250 “Bunker Imprint” created in Turkey by Bunker Custom Cycles (@bunkercustomcycles) was awarded the prize. It follows the Dax “Furiosa” created by Art on Wheels.

The victory of “Bunker Imprint” highlights Turkey’s growing interest in motorcycles and scooters. In 2003, the market reached nearly 530,000 units, accounting for 38% of the 1.3 million units registered in Europe. The growth of the Turkish market is exponential, tripling compared to 2022 (190,000 units) and with a ratio of 1 to 4 compared to 2021 (140,000 units).

Regularly well-placed, the “Ocean’s Track” created by the French dealer Oceane Motos (@Oceane_motos_officiel) narrowly missed victory by a handful of votes. The main changes from the original CL500 include the red-painted swingarm and frame, gold-tinted wheels, wide handlebars with mirrors positioned at the ends, integrated dual LED optics in the front plate, and a solo seat.
On the third step of the podium, the German CL Surfer drew its “surf” inspiration from the laid-back beaches of Biarritz hosting the Wheels and Waves festival. Created by the experts at the Honda dealership in Frankfurt (@hondamotorrad_de), the CL Surfer features a metallic silver tank and fenders with blue trim, a clubman handlebar, and brown leather seating.
