Renault unveils its new truck Racer, 15% less polluting

Renault Trucks launches its new high-range models, named Racer, which are increasingly fuel-efficient and therefore less polluting.

Renault Trucks continues to evolve its vehicles by launching its new range of high-performance trucks: the Renault Trucks T, T High, C and K model year 2025. With its innovations, the manufacturer continues to focus on reducing fuel consumption and improving aerodynamics, while enhancing safety and comfort for drivers.

Trucks even more fuel-efficient

Two years ago, Renault Trucks made a splash with the introduction of the Turbo Compound, allowing for fuel savings of up to 10%. Now, the 2025 models offer an additional 3% gain thanks to the optimization of several mechanical components. By working on the powertrain, including the engine, transmission, and axles, Renault Trucks has succeeded in further reducing the consumption of its vehicles.

Another innovation: these new models come standard with A+ class tires, which also contribute to better energy efficiency.

Improved aerodynamics thanks to cameras

The Renault Trucks T, T High, and E-Tech T models now feature cameras in place of traditional side mirrors. These cameras, installed in foldable fenders, enhance the aerodynamic profile of the truck while reducing fuel consumption. Inside the cabin, two screens display in real-time what is happening around the vehicle, including an infrared view to aid nighttime driving. This system is also available as an option on the C, K, and E-Tech C models.

The Renault Trucks T Smart Racer: champion of energy efficiency

For long-distance journeys, Renault Trucks offers an optimized version, the Renault Trucks T Smart Racer. This special version, available on the T and T High models, combines the DE13 Turbo Compound engine with a range of options promoting reduced consumption. The result is impressive: a 14% reduction in fuel consumption and a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to a standard model.

Enhanced onboard safety and comfort

The innovations are not limited to energy efficiency. Renault Trucks has also focused on driving comfort and safety. The power steering system of the 2025 models stabilizes the vehicle at high speeds and eases steering at low speeds, making urban maneuvering easier. This system combines hydraulic power steering with an electric motor, adjusting the truck’s behavior in real-time.

An automatic lane-keeping assistance device with correction is also available. This system not only automatically guides the truck back into its lane in case of unintentional deviation but also provides increased protection against blind spots, thereby improving safety for vulnerable road users.

Finally, the automatic high beam headlights, now standard, adjust based on external conditions such as weather or the presence of other vehicles, ensuring optimal visibility at all times. Additional work lamps can also be installed on the chassis or at the rear of the cab for maximum usability comfort.

With these new models, Renault Trucks clearly demonstrates its commitment to making its vehicles more efficient, safer, and environmentally friendly while meeting the needs of drivers and transport companies.
