JiYue ROBO X

The Chinese brand JiYue, backed by giants BAIDU and Geely, has unveiled a stratospheric ROBO X EV!

JiYue introduced its new hypercar, the ROBO X EV, a beastly electric sports car with artificial intelligence and very high performance. When the manufacturer talks about “high performance,” it is not hyperbolic, as the powertrain of this beast consists of four liquid-cooled motors capable of propelling the ROBO X from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 1.9 seconds. JiYue’s CEO, Joe Xia, claims that over the next 20 years, the ROBO X will serve as a model for all hypercars on the planet. Ferrari will appreciate this. He considers it the best design in the history of Chinese automotive industry combined with a maximum range of over 650 km.

The new supercar features butterfly doors, a lightweight carbon fiber frame that keeps it under 2 tons, and a HALO safety system inspired by Formula 1. On this point, the enormous central pillar seems incompatible with good visibility, but we would need to take the wheel to verify that, and it’s not certain we will ever have the chance…

Finally, JiYue reveals that the vehicle will use the autonomous driving technology Apollo from its parent company BAIDU, which could make it the first high-speed autonomous electric hypercar.

So, all of this seems like a fun little joke aimed at highlighting a young manufacturer, but the backing of BAIDU, the leading Chinese provider of mapping data for autonomous vehicles, and especially Geely, provides absolutely undeniable credibility to the project. If you’re not yet familiar with Geely, it’s just the owner of Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Smart, Polestar, and Volvo!

And if you’re tempted by the adventure, know that JiYue has officially opened pre-orders in China for 49,999 Yuan, which is just under 7,000 euros, with deliveries scheduled for early 2027 once autonomous driving is legalized. We told you, it’s not a joke.
