With Electrify, Volkswagen wants its share of the electric cake

Rapid charging is more than ever a major issue, and Volkswagen France is accelerating the expansion of its Electrify France network.

Volkswagen Group France continues to invest in the energy transition by expanding its rapid charging network, Electrify France. In 2024, this network reached a key milestone, now comprising 87 stations and 160 ultra-fast charging points accessible to all electric vehicle drivers.

The year 2024 was marked by the inauguration of 16 new stations and the addition of 33 more charging points. These infrastructures, located on the sites of dealerships for the brands Volkswagen, SEAT, CUPRA, Škoda, Audi, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, respond to the growing demand for fast and reliable charging.

The 2024 report confirms these directions with:

• 39,740 charging sessions recorded,
• 1,245 MWh of electricity delivered, enough to cover approximately 6.2 million kilometers (calculated with an average consumption of 20 kWh/100 km),
• Nearly 1,000 tons of CO₂ saved thanks to this service, highlighting its key role in reducing the carbon footprint.

Great ambitions for 2025

Volkswagen Group France isn’t stopping there. In 2025, the Electrify France network plans to open 18 new stations, further strengthening national coverage. This expansion aims to make electric charging even more accessible, supporting the transition to sustainable mobility.

The Electrify France stations stand out for their inclusive approach: they are open to all electric vehicles, regardless of brand. By offering a high-performance and widely accessible infrastructure, Volkswagen Group France affirms its commitment to promoting electromobility in France.
