Mercedes-Benz Trucks announced an expansion of its electric truck range based on its gem, the eActros 600.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks continues to accelerate the development of its battery electric truck range by leveraging its flagship model, the eActros 600, to introduce new variants aimed at diversifying applications and meeting the varied needs of its customers.

The eActros 600, launched in 2024, is the cornerstone of this expansion. This truck, designed for long-distance transport, stands out with its electric drive axle, durable lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries, and Interactive 2 multimedia cockpit. These features, combined with an onboard voltage of 800 volts, allow for a realistic range of 500 km with a total load of 40 tons.

Bigger, More Powerful

The new variants will include semi-trailer tractors and trucks equipped with additional wheelbases, as well as configurations with two battery packs. Extended cabin options inspired by the eActros 600 design will also be available. “With these new models, we aim to offer our customers the best of our modular system for an economical and ecological solution,” explains Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

The production of these models will begin in 2025 at the Wörth am Rhein plant, and orders will open in the fall of 2025. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is simplifying its model lineup by discontinuing the eActros 300/400 models, but will continue production of the eEconic for urban services.

The eActros 600 has already proven itself during extensive testing, covering more than 15,000 km across 22 countries in 2024. It also won the prestigious title of “International Truck of the Year 2025,” thanks to its efficiency and range. With its three battery packs offering a total capacity of 621 kWh, this vehicle can travel up to 1,000 km per day with intermediate recharges.
