Fuel at cost price this weekend!

On the occasion of the traditional summer crossover, E.Leclerc is offering a new “fuel at cost price” operation.

This offer concerns 711 service stations of the E.Leclerc brand spread across France, excluding highways, on Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2, 2025. It is currently not planned to extend to Sunday, August 3, but the brand has already been known to offer an additional day.

Specifically, E.Leclerc commits to selling fuel without making a margin, meaning at the purchase price excluding taxes and transport costs. The stated objective is clear: to support the purchasing power of motorists, as pump prices have risen again in recent weeks. According to estimates, drivers could save between 1.50 and 2.50 euros on a full tank of 50 liters, depending on the fuel type and station.

Every euro counts

The operation concerns the main fuels: diesel, SP95, SP98, and E10. However, E85, LPG, and stations located on highway networks are not included. It’s a silver lining, as making the effort to exit the highway for refueling can save you 10 to 20%. E.Leclerc advises motorists to check the list of participating stations and verify opening hours on the brand’s official website, since some pumps are only accessible during the operating hours of the associated supermarket.

Already offered several times by the distributor, notably in early July, this initiative is presented as both an economic and a symbolic gesture. For Michel-Édouard Leclerc, chairman of the group’s strategic committee, it is about allowing the French to leave or return from vacation “more peacefully”, in a context where mobility-related expenses still weigh heavily on budgets.
