Câbe C1

The Câble C1 urban cable car will connect Créteil to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges in 17 minutes by 2025. A mountain air in Île-de-France.

First cable car in Île-de-France, the Câble C1 was conceived in response to the increased mobility needs of Île-de-France residents, on a territory constrained by numerous urban interruptions (road axes, sorting yards, railway lines…).

the 105 cabins making up the cable car are accessible to all users, including people with reduced mobility and children in strollers.

To achieve this, meticulous attention was paid to interior arrangements, with modular 10-seat cabins, priority seating, step-free access to stations (no stairs, no elevator, no escalator), screens displaying real-time passenger information, Braille, and safety devices specifically designed for the C1.

With a capacity of 1,600 people per hour per direction during peak times, the Câble C1 was designed from the outset to have more seats than the projected needs at commissioning. The goal: optimize comfort and accessibility conditions for travelers, knowing that this capacity can be increased to 2,000 people per hour per direction by adding 25 cabins.

The five stops of the future Câble C1 revealed their names this week. Discover them!
