On the occasion of the two-wheeler show in Lyon, Segway-Ninebot introduced the E300SE, a new electric scooter homologated in the 125 cc category.
Already present on the electric scooter market with comparable 50 cc models, Segway-Ninebot expands its range with a new 125 cc, the E300SE. Visually very similar to the rest of the lineup, the new model features a compact size for its category (1.86 meters long, seat at 780 mm from the ground). Powered by a 7.8 kW wheel motor, which provides up to 10 kW at peak, it can reach a maximum speed of 105 km/h. In terms of acceleration, Segway claims 0 to 50 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Like most of its competitors, the E300SE should demonstrate lively performance at startup.
A new Segway scooter with 2 or 3 removable batteries
Segway’s 125 cc scooter comes with two removable 2 kWh batteries, which guarantee a theoretical range of 85 km (WMTC cycle). Each weighs 12.6 kilos and is located under the floorboard. An optional third removable battery can be placed under the seat, increasing the range by approximately 50%.
Segway has equipped its E300SE with ABS and an intelligent traction control system. The disc braking (front and rear) uses dual-piston calipers supplied by J.Juan. The seat contains a 34-liter trunk, which reduces to 17 liters with the optional third battery.
The E300SE features LED instrumentation and a keyless unlocking system, which works via the Segway mobile app. The app also allows remote control of several parameters (remaining range, scooter location, etc.).
The scooter will be launched in May. The price is set at €4,790, excluding ecological bonus. It rises to €5,990 with the third battery.
