SEAT MO 125 Performance

The SEAT MO 125 muscles its range with a new version capable of reaching over 60 mph.

Much like the Silence S01 to which it owes everything, the SEAT MO 125 offers a slightly more powerful new version. Named simply “Performance,” it was just unveiled in Milan during the EICMA show.

Whether it is Performance or not, the MO 125 is almost identical to the S01 in terms of style. Only small details such as the logo and the Alcantara seat of this Performance version distinguish the two models.

Always integrated into the rear wheel, the SEAT MO 125 Performance’s motor delivers 7.5 kW nominal and 11 kW peak. This represents a boost of 0.5 and 2 kW respectively compared to the basic MO 125. To accompany this small increase in power, SEAT has improved the braking system and installed a new Öhlins suspension at the rear.

A Boost Mode for Faster Speeds

The SEAT MO 125 Performance can reach 105 km/h (65 mph), but only for 30 seconds with the eBoost function activated. Otherwise, the maximum speed peaks at 95 km/h (59 mph). Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h (31 mph) takes 2.9 seconds. For comparison, the S01 Plus is slightly less quick (100 km/h or 62 mph with eBoost) and loses a tenth of a second on the 0 to 50 km/h acceleration.

This new version remains true to the removable battery principle with a handle and wheels for easy transport. The capacity remains the same as the S01 Plus (5.6 kWh). Regarding range, SEAT promises 137 km (approximately 85 miles), which is 4 km more than Silence.

The price of the new SEAT MO 125 Performance has not yet been announced. It is likely to be quite close to that of the Silence S01 Plus, which starts at €8,290 (excluding a €900 bonus).
