Murtas Motorcycles enters the electric scooter market. Certified in the 125cc category, its first model can reach speeds of 100 km/h.
Founded in 2023, Murtas Motorcycles has set up shop in the Montélimar region. The company emphasizes its French craftsmanship and domestic facilities, where the scooter assembly operations take place. The MX, its first model, resembles the Super Soco CPX.
The Murtas MX is classified in the 125cc equivalent category. Powered by a 4 kW (7 kW peak) wheel motor, it reaches a top speed of 100 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.9 seconds. When fitted with a single battery, the scooter officially bears the name MX1. With the second battery, it logically becomes the MX2. The batteries are removable and can therefore be charged at home.

Once fully charged, the Murtas MX1 can theoretically cover up to 110 km in eco mode. The urban mode, which is likely more suitable for daily needs, reduces the range to about 80 km. With Sport mode, expect around 55 km. The 2.88 kWh battery charges in 2.5 hours.
With its second 2.88 kWh battery, the MX2 promises 160 km of range in urban mode (220 km in eco mode, 110 km in Sport mode). The additional 15 kilograms of battery increase the scooter’s total weight to 126 kilograms, without impacting the announced performance.
The electric scooters from Murtas are only available in matte black. The MX1 is sold for €4,990, from which a €720 bonus must be deducted. The MX2 costs €5,990. Thanks to its second battery, it is eligible for the maximum bonus of €900.
