Electric scooters: French company Tym joins the trend

The family of electric two-wheelers welcomes a new member: the French Tym.

Based in the city of Castres, the company assembles its scooters in France, but from parts produced in China.

The Tym range consists of small scooters with 50 and 125 cc removable batteries. The prices are generally affordable, with an entry point at €2,000 for the cheapest scooter.

Range Details

Tym sells three models, simply named S, M, and L. The last two are available in both 50 and 125 cc versions. The scooters come with a removable 6-kilogram battery (a relatively light weight compared to the average). As an option, the customer can have a second battery that significantly extends the range.

Tym S :

The entry-level model from Tym, only available in the 50 cc equivalent. 2 kW motor. Range announced: 60 km with one battery, 100 km with two batteries.

Tym M :

Visually very close to the Pink Mobility Pink Style and other Vespa copies. Offered in 50 cc / 2 kW motor or 125 cc / 3 kW motor. Limited to 65 km/h top speed for the 125 cc. Range announced: 50 km with one battery, 80 km with two batteries. No differences between the 50 and 125 models play a role here.

Tym L :

The flagship of Tym, also available in 50 or 125 cc. Higher power than the M: 3 kW for the 50, 4 kW for the 125. Top speed of 75 km/h for the 125 cc. Range announced: 60 km with one battery for both versions. With two batteries, 80 km for the 50, 70 km for the 125.
