The BYD Seal is a 100% electric sports sedan produced by the Chinese automaker BYD starting in 2022 in China. It is intended to be marketed in Europe starting at the end of 2023 and is part of BYD’s electric “Ocean” range, alongside the Seagull and Dolphin models. The Seal was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2022 and presented in detail on April 11, 2023, in Belgium before its launch in Europe.

The Seal is based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, specifically designed for electric vehicles and introduced in 2021. It is equipped with an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery of 82 kWh, offering a range of between 520 and 570 km depending on the variant. The BYD Seal was preceded by the BYD concept car Ocean-X, presented on September 13, 2021.
