Mercedes strengthens its positioning in the electric utility vehicle market by expanding the eSprinter range.

The German manufacturer now offers nine body solutions for the eSprinter developed in partnership with renowned bodybuilders, including four new versions designed to meet a variety of professions.

The new models include: a deep cab and a people transport version for 7 passengers from Trouillet, a tow truck made by Fiault, as well as a van equipped with a liftgate by Dhollandia. These models are complemented by existing configurations such as low-floor vans for textiles and laundry (Corsin), 20 m³ boxes for transport and messaging (Laloyeau, Labbé by Gruau, Primelight Trouillet), and an aluminum dump body by JPM for construction.

A major advantage for bodybuilders lies in the continuity with thermal models: the eSprinter chassis benefits from the same pre-dispositions and factory fittings, as well as identical interfaces (codes, functionalities, and locations). No process changes are required, facilitating the adoption of this local zero-emission version.

An eSprinter for every professional

Technically, the eSprinter chassis-cab is offered in two lengths (5.9 m or 6.7 m), with a usable platform length of 3.4 m or 4.3 m. It provides the choice of three battery capacities (56, 81, or 113 kWh) and two engine power outputs (136 or 204 hp). The cab includes the latest generation of the MBUX system, advanced driving assistance systems, and modern safety equipment.

Two equipment lines are available: PRO and SELECT. The energy recovery is particularly sophisticated, with five levels including an intelligent DAuto mode that adjusts deceleration based on traffic, navigation, and camera data (inclines, curves).

Thanks to this versatility, the eSprinter chassis-cab is aimed at many professional sectors engaged in the energy transition: delivery, roadside assistance, passenger transport, construction, and laundry services. It combines high payload capacity, operational silence, and Mercedes-Benz’s typical comfort, while facilitating calm driving through its regeneration modes and connected ecosystem.
