The Electric Farming Tractor by Fendt

Fendt launches the e100 V Vario, a narrow electric battery tractor designed for specific applications.

With its electric propulsion, the new Fendt e100 V Vario is the first series-produced tractor to operate with low noise levels and zero emissions. Special crops, greenhouses, farms that produce their own electricity, or municipalities are the ideal domains for the e100 V Vario model. This electric tractor is an intuitive model with proven functions thanks to the FendtONE control concept and the ability to continue using the existing tools from the manufacturer’s range.

The capacity of the 100 kWh battery corresponds to a working duration of approximately 4 to 7 hours with partial load operations such as defoliation or sweeping. Thanks to intelligent thermal management, the battery operates year-round at an optimal temperature. It can be recharged via alternating current with a charging power of up to 22 kW. The Type 2 socket conforms to automotive standards, allowing the use of existing or public charging infrastructure. Fast charging is also possible via direct current with a charging power of up to 80 kW. The e100 V Vario can thus be recharged from 20% to 80% in 45 minutes. The CCS socket also aligns with automotive standards, enabling continued use of existing charging infrastructure.

The major strength of this Fendt e100 V Vario is, of course, that it emits no exhaust gases and achieves, during its operation, a low carbon footprint never before reached by thermal or hybrid models. Thanks to its low noise emissions, the Fendt e100 V Vario not only protects health but can also be used without issue in noise-sensitive environments.
