Nissan Interstar, the most French of Japanese vans
This page is translated from the original post "Nissan Interstar, le plus français des fourgons japonais" in French.

The very latest generation of the Nissan Interstar, a clone of the Renault Master, is arriving on the light commercial vehicle market.
Following the path taken by its cousin Renault, the new Interstar makes Nissan history as the first large van available with a 100% electric powertrain. Nissan aims to electrify all segments of its commercial vehicle lineup by 2027.
The new 100% electric Interstar is available with a 40 kWh battery, ideal for urban deliveries, or an 87 kWh battery for more extensive use. Supporting rapid charging (DC) at up to 130 kW, the 87 kWh battery can regain up to 252 km of range in just 30 minutes. Equipped with a standard onboard 11 kW AC charger for both batteries, the new Interstar-e can also be charged from 10% to 100% in less than 4 hours with its 22 kW charger, available as an option for the 87 kWh battery alone.
Since not all professionals are yet ready to switch entirely to electric, the new Interstar is also available with a range of efficient diesel engines. The engine, already used in other Nissan models, offers up to 170 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Its optimization has led to a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 1.5 l/100 km, down to 7.4 l/100 km. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or the new 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Interstar provides a loading area of up to 3,855 mm and a side door 1,312 mm wide. Its capacity ranges from 10.8 m³ in the L2H2 version to a maximum of 14.8 m³ in the L3H3 version. Finally, the maximum towing capacity is 2,500 kg. The 4-tonne Interstar van offers up to 1,925 kg of payload with the diesel engine and up to 1,625 kg with the 100% electric powertrain. It is available in two different sizes and heights. The 4-tonne chassis version, meanwhile, offers up to 2,150 kg with the diesel engine and up to 1,925 kg with the fully electric version.
All Nissan Interstars, both electric and diesel, are of course assembled on the same line as the Renault Master, at the Batilly factory (57), which has a production capacity of 740 commercial vehicles per day.
