What are the travel conditions for this third weekend of vacation departures?

Vacations started two weeks ago now, with a tough but not insurmountable first weekend, just like the second. This weekend should be more “peaceful” for drivers. 

It’s a peaceful weekend forecasted by Bison Futé, with only one difficult day, Saturday, for holiday departures. Otherwise, vigilance should always be maintained, even if there are no slowdowns. 

A Calm Friday 

For outbound traffic, Bison Futé predicts difficult traffic, especially in Île-de-France with some slowdowns. On the return journey, no difficulties are expected across France. Incidents may occur in both directions, so stay alert and vigilant. 

Saturday Will Be Slightly More Turbulent 

Saturday looks to be complicated for outbound traffic during this third holiday weekend. Bison Futé forecasts very difficult conditions across France for departures. The A10 will be heavily affected by slowdowns from Paris to Tours, as well as from Poitiers to Bordeaux. Similarly, the A63 towards Bayonne. On the A7 heading to Marseille, traffic will be significantly slowed down. 

For the return journey, no issues are currently forecasted by Bison Futé, and smooth traffic is expected. 

Sunday Calls for Peacefulness

According to Bison Futé forecasts, Sunday July 23 is expected to be green for both departures and arrivals. Still, caution should be taken on the road; taking a break every two hours is essential to avoid losing focus during the drive.
