Traffic forecasts for this Easter Monday

This year, Easter weekend falls very early in the calendar. It precedes school holidays that will only start the following week. While the intensity of traffic during the weekend will depend directly on weather conditions, most travelers are expected to head towards holiday destinations and coastal areas, located a moderate distance from their homes.

Monday, April 1st, traffic will be heavy in the return direction. The day is rated orange nationwide. Difficulties are especially expected in Normandy (A13), Hauts-de-France (A25), and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (A7, A43, and N85). In Île-de-France, traffic will be heavy starting late morning, particularly on motorways A10, A13, and A6, and will remain so late into the evening. Traffic delays could be observed throughout the afternoon and until late at night (especially on the A10).

• avoid the A25 motorway, between Dunkirk and Lille, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.,

• avoid the A10 motorway near Orléans, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
• avoid the A7 motorway, between Orange and Lyon, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.,
• avoid the A43 motorway, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
• avoid the N85 national road, between Gap and Grenoble, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
