Launched just before summer, the DS N°4 begins its career in a highly competitive segment of premium compact sedans.
The first press tests organized by DS Automobiles are currently taking place in Portugal. This is the best way for the French brand to highlight the work done on comfort, dynamism, and energy efficiency of its new model.
Measuring 4.40 meters in length, 1.87 meters wide, and 1.49 meters tall, the DS N°4 features balanced proportions and a fluid silhouette. The front, inspired by the DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE concept, adopts a more horizontal grille and a unique lighting signature. The high-end versions are equipped with DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights, combining directional beam and matrix technology.
The interior maintains DS’s signature craftsmanship approach, with particular attention paid to materials and finishing. Nappa leather, Alcantara, or fabrics create distinct ambiances depending on the trim level. The Clous de Paris guilloché, “pearl point” stitching, or dark ash inserts highlight the attention to detail. The trunk capacity varies between 360 and 430 liters depending on the powertrain, while the 2.67-meter wheelbase provides adequate space for the segment.
The DS N°4 is the only premium compact offering a 100% electrified range. Three powertrain options are available:
- E-TENSE fully electric with 213 hp (58.3 kWh battery, 450 km WLTP range),
- Plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with 225 hp offering up to 81 km electric range,
- Self-charging hybrid with 145 hp.
The electric version supports up to 120 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 20 to 80% charge in about 30 minutes. The onboard 11 kW tri-phase charger is standard.
