Radical, but effective

This ban, which primarily targets vehicles registered before 2010, adds to other existing restrictions, such as limiting the circulation of diesel vehicles older than 10 years and gasoline vehicles older than 15 years. These measures are part of environmental policies mandated by the Supreme Court and the Air Quality Management Commission in India.

For the owners of these vehicles, several options are being considered, such as converting engines to meet current standards or abandoning vehicles at authorized dismantling centers. Incentives may also be offered to ease the transition to more environmentally friendly vehicles.
