Decathlon Elops 920E, the electric bike at -20%

A very popular model from the French sports goods brand, the Elops 920E – and not its connected cousin 920E Connect – is a good city bike or for short trips. With its 417 Wh battery and 70 Nm central motor, it is very versatile. Its classic frame style cannot be customized, with a unique “larch” green color. Often on sale, this e-bike is currently at -20%, costing €1,279 instead of €1,599.

Vanmoof S3 and X3: €360 discount on the connected e-bike

Yes, okay, these are not the latest Vanmoof S5 and A5. Since they are not yet available, the previous models S3 (standard frame) and X3 (low frame with 24-inch wheels) are still legitimate. Very connected with their app, handling locking, unlocking upon approach, geolocation, and various settings such as gears or the sound of the electronic bell. They feature a front motor and a battery in the tube, with a minimalist handlebar. However, their price increased from €2,198 to €2,348 earlier in 2022. As a compensation, recent discounts and current sales reduce the price of the Vanmoof to €1,988 with the code SUMMER-EU.

Cowboy 3: €300 discount

The Cowboy 4 launched in 2021 has not completely replaced the previous model. Like Vanmoof, Cowboy 3 has an extended lifecycle, and takes advantage of the sales period to lower its price. It is similar to the S3, connected with light indicators on the frame, with a sleek look. But it has a removable battery in the seat tube, rear motor of only 30 Nm, a more subdued app, and a belt drive. Additionally, the Cowboy 3’s price is more affordable than the new “4” at €2,790. The electric bike currently costs €1,990 after a €300 discount.

The Vélo Mad Sport: rare price drop on Made in France

More affordable, the Vélo Mad Sport is a product designed and manufactured in France. Also from an older generation slightly different from the new “Sport 2”, this classic frame e-bike is the only one offering a price reduction during these sales. A rare operation for the French brand. Fairly light at 18.5 kg, its 45 Nm motor is sufficient for small hills. Its battery capacity is 375 Wh, and it features Brooks leather grips and saddle. If it hadn’t maintained its previous price with the arrival of its successor, it is now available at €1,549.

Vélair Urban: folding bike with long battery life under €1,000

In the folding electric bike sector, discounts are plentiful. At Vélair, they are common, but these sales are particularly significant. The French brand offers much of its range, including the Urban. It is the most durable of the three folding models in the catalog, thanks to its 385 Wh battery providing about 60 km of range in ideal conditions. Although slightly heavy (24 kg), this bike is solid and compact when folded. Originally priced at €1,399, it is now available for €999 on the official website.

Even with these summer sales of 2022, electric bikes remain compatible with purchase aids. Check with your region, department, or city for possible bonuses. For example, Greater Paris offers 50% of the bike’s price, up to €500.
