MODBikes Creates a Bike with Iconic Design

MODBikes and BMW have partnered to produce an electric bike inspired by the famous BMW R 75 Sahara motorcycle

Here’s a model that certainly packs character. The MOD Easy Sahara Limited combines vintage motorcycle aesthetics with modern e-bike technology. Its inspiration comes from the BMW 75 Sahara. It was notably used by Germans during Operation Barbarossa in North Africa and the Soviet Union.

What mainly gives it charm is the sidecar. Though this accessory has long fallen out of fashion, it’s undeniable that on an electric bike, it’s quite intriguing. And according to MODBikes, it’s also very practical. The sidecar is spacious and comfortable, as evidenced by its removable padded seat. It also features a rear door, convenient for pets, and supports a weight of up to 70 kg. Another plus, it can be easily removed with its three quick-release pins.

Otherwise, this bike remains a high-end model, as it is a modified and slightly improved version of the Easy Sidecar 3. It features a retro frame, a custom desert paint job, and exclusive accessories designed for this model. Its range extends from 80 to 160 km depending on various factors, such as surface and sidecar load. It also boasts a sturdy suspension fork and 3-inch-wide tires.

MODBikes founder Dor Korngold expressed high praise for the MOD Easy Sahara Limited. “We transformed our flagship Easy Sidecar into a playful and unique vehicle, designed for maximum fun for you and your co-pilot. Our limited edition is not just a bike: it’s an invitation to explore, create memories, and ride in style with your favorite co-pilot.”

The starting price is €3,330, the same as the Easy Sidecar 3. However, the Sahara model is only available in a limited edition.
