Ducati Futa

For a few years now, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has launched a range of E-bikes featuring its latest model, the Futa.

The Futa gets its name as a tribute to the curves of the mountain pass of the same name between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, well known and loved by all Ducatisti. It falls into the E-Road segment, electric-assisted road bicycles. A lightweight model that embodies the pure Ducati spirit by focusing on design, innovation, and fun. A latest-generation bike developed to cover greater distances and conquer steep inclines.

It features a solid and flexible monocoque carbon fiber frame that enhances aerodynamics and speeds up the bike. Maneuverable and robust, the Trimax Carbon Aero handlebar is also made of carbon fiber. Its 10° tilt allows for a more upright and therefore, more comfortable riding position. The Vision AGX30 wheels with carbon rims are fitted with Pirelli Cinturato Velo “Tubeless Ready” 35 mm tires, ensuring grip, durability, and comfort. The crankset with carbon pedals and 160 mm disc brakes complete this electric racing bike. Offered in four sizes (53, 55, 57, or 59), the Futa weighs 12.4 kg (size M) with an integrated frame battery.

The FSA System HM 1.0 motor located on the rear hub develops 250W of power, with a torque of 42 Nm. It is one of the lightest and most compact in its category, weighing 3.95 kg. It is equipped with five selectable assistance levels via the Garmin control on the handlebar. The wireless 2 x 12-speed electronic derailleur ensures smooth, quiet, fast, and precise gear changes, complemented by FSA – K-Force hydraulic disc brakes.

The bike is equipped with a 250 Wh FSA battery integrated into the diagonal tube. An additional 250Wh range extender is also available as an option to double the autonomy and reach nearly 160 km. The Futa is connected to the FSA app, available for iOS and Android devices. It allows users to quickly and intuitively view statistics, system status, remaining range, and charge level. It is also possible to download updates and communicate with FSA service centers worldwide.

Undoubtedly, this Italian excellence and prestigious name come at a price. The Ducati Futa is on sale for €7,690.
