The Renault Austral still cheaper: from 30,900 euros

The flagship SUV from Renault, the Austral, once again sees its price slashed for those who know how to hunt for good deals at the dealership.

Are sales slowing down for the Renault Austral? Marketed since 2022 as a replacement for the dull Kadjar, the star SUV of the diamond brand has hurt the Peugeot 3008, stealing in 2023 the title of best family vehicle in France.

Unfortunately, in a society in full transformation, where electric vehicles are increasingly rewarded fiscally and where the novelty effect quickly wears off, two years of commercial life is already a miracle… To support sales, dealers are forced to give very attractive discounts, like the one here that was uncovered.

Initially offered at a catalog price of 36,250 euros, this example in Equilibre mild hybrid 130 Advanced trim is reduced to 30,900 euros, offering a €5,350 discount. But there’s an even better option available in stock at Renault.

Mobiwisy has found a Techno version equipped with the same engine but with options priced at 39,030 euros, before a massive discount to 31,590 euros. That’s a straight cut of 7,440 euros! This is definitely worth serious consideration!

More simply put, the Austral has found its rightful position now that the electric Renault Scenic is arriving at dealerships. Priced from 35,990 euros, this model offers much lower operating costs on a daily basis. Therefore, buying or renting a petrol SUV is no longer so obvious in 2024. Not to mention the increased competition from the Tesla Model Y, which dropped to 38,990 euros at the beginning of February 2024.

All this makes sense as the market is restructuring. There are great deals to be signed for those who know how to make them happen.
