The great annual GTI festival is this weekend

The GTI community gathers for 3 days in Wolfsburg under the sign of a return to its roots while the electric car pokes its nose in.

When the big GTI family gathers from all corners of the world for the GTI Fan Fest, it reaches a level of participation unmatched by any other model in the world, and perhaps even any brand aside from Porsche and Ferrari. GTI, three letters that have become legendary in the automotive world, and which are well worth a festival that has become cult.

For three days, from July 26 to 28, 2024, the Volkswagen Arena and its surroundings will transform into a true village for enthusiasts of GTI models. More than 700 owners of GTI and R models are expected to showcase their vehicles. GTI models from each of the eight generations of the Golf, of course, but also from the Up!, Lupo, and Polo. Andreas Mindt, Chief Designer of Volkswagen, will be present to rewrite the history of the models with fans and present a future that terrifies many traditional combustion engine fans. You understood correctly that GTE and GTX are not yet invited to the party, but the manufacturer plans to offer a preview of its future 100% electric sports models as a form of gentle acclimatization.

The love of GTI in family

For tuning enthusiasts, a showcase of the most spectacular models from Volkswagen Motorsport will be presented, along with vehicles modified by the tattooed wizard apprentices of VW. Concerts, shops, simulators, the list of activities offered to festival-goers is endless, and they will even have access to a dynamometer to leave with the power curve of their GTI or R. Children are not forgotten and are even pampered with a huge Kids Zone dedicated to trampoline, simulator, wakeboarding, and of course, football! The future generations must be prepared for the joy of this type of gathering.
