From March 4 to April 26, 2026, the Renault Parade – The Carwalk, located on the Champs-Élysées, hosts the exhibition “Pop Art Car”.

Designed in partnership with the Renault Fund for Art and Culture, this event explores the connections between Pop Art, urban art, and automobiles, three realms that have shaped modern collective imagination.

The car is presented not just as a means of transportation, but as an artistic motif, a series object, and a symbol of freedom. For the occasion, Renault unveils a new work by the artist Invader from 2008, a mosaic inspired by car racing and the world of video games, never shown to the public before.

“With Pop Art Car, we celebrate the unique place Renault occupies in popular culture,” explains Arnaud Belloni, Global Marketing Director of Renault. “Renault has always belonged to the street, to the people, to the images that tell our time.”

The car for emotion

Catherine Gros, president of the Renault Fund for Art and Culture, adds: “Cars are everyday objects, but also emotional icons that have inspired artists for nearly a century. Presenting these works among the show-cars allows for a new interpretation of popular culture.”

The exhibition retraces the historical dialogue between these artistic movements. The Pop Art of the 1960s elevated the car to a symbol of modernity, while Street Art, from the 1970s onwards, anchored it in public space. Major pieces are displayed: Accumulation Renault No. 115 (1967) by Arman, works by Erró and Victor Vasarely, creations by D*Face, Lee Quinones, John “Crash” Matos, and Jean Faucheur.

The parade ramp, designed by architect Franklin Azzi, also features several show-cars: SUITE No. 4 by Mathieu Lehanneur (2021), the R5 reinterpreted by Pierre Gonalons (2022), the luminous Twingo by Sabine Marcelis (2023), the plant sculptures by Dan Rawlings (2024), and the restomod R17 by Ora Ïto. The Renault 5 Turbo 3E show-car and the Filante Record 2025 complete the lineup.

The Renault Fund for Art and Culture, established in 2024, and the Renault Art Factory set up in Flins in 2025, highlight the brand’s sustainable commitment. A free program (by reservation) includes a live performance by Joshua Vides, talks, DJ sets with Radio FG, and guided tours.
