Price Reduction for the New Golf Starting at 29,990 Euros

Orders are now open in France for the new Volkswagen Golf and Golf SW. And their prices are dropping!

The new Golf is offered in France with 6 trim levels. The “Golf” trim is the entry-level. Two trims offer enhanced equipment and form the core of the range: “Life Plus” and the special series “VW Edition”, available from the model’s launch. The ‘”Style” and “R-Line”’ trims add technological features and a sporty look for the latter. Finally, to celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary, Volkswagen is also launching a “Style Edition 50” finish offering exclusive commemorative personalization.

Depending on the trim, the new Golf and Golf SW are currently offered with three turbocharged gasoline engines. A 1.5 TSI engine producing 116 hp (85 kW) available with a manual transmission and two 1.5 eTSI micro-hybrid engines, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox DSG, producing 116 hp (85 kW) and 150 hp (110 kW).

An “Golf” entry-level below 30,000 euros

The entry-level “Golf” version is available with a 1.5 TSI gasoline engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It already offers many standard features such as LED front headlights, Digital Cockpit, single-zone automatic climate control, keyless start, and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Driving assistance features are also included, with front and rear parking sensors, lane keeping assist, emergency braking assist, traffic sign recognition, and cruise control.

Plug-in hybrid to follow

New plug-in hybrid engines will offer electric-only range of over 100 km. Additionally, charging via alternating current (AC) is faster on all eHybrid versions, and fast charging via direct current (DC) up to 50 kW is now standard.

These powertrains, along with the Golf GTI, will be available for order during the second quarter of 2024.
