Honda Jazz: The Hybrid City Car Gets a Makeover

The Honda Jazz undergoes a facelift. Additionally, the city car also benefits from technical improvements.
Honda has just released images of the redesigned Jazz. The aesthetic changes, which are subtle at first glance, focus on the front of the vehicle, with a new grille and slightly darkened headlights. The front and rear bumpers have also experienced minor updates. On the Crosstar (a version with a more rugged look), protective skis appear on the lower sides. The most interesting aspect is the introduction of the Advance Sport trim, recognizable by its specific grille, more aggressive bumpers, 16-inch wheels, and gray color. The Jazz’s facelift also introduces a new body color (a pale blue), as well as new options for interior finishes.
Honda Jazz: Updates Also on the Technical Sheet
Honda has also revised the hybrid powertrain of the Jazz. The electric motor recharging the battery now delivers 106 hp (+11 hp), and the one driving the wheels produces 122 hp (+14 hp). The gasoline engine powering the generator increases to 107 hp (+10 hp). The total combined power has not been specified. On the previous model, it was 109 hp. Honda states that throttle response will be more direct on the Jazz Advance Sport. Emissions range between 102 and 105 grams of CO2 per km.
Driving assistance systems have also evolved and will now intervene more timely. Other modifications improve towing capacity (now 500 kilograms) and, according to Honda, the vehicle’s handling.
Honda will launch the redesigned Jazz in the second half of 2023. Prices are not yet known. It is therefore impossible to determine if this new version will cost slightly more than the current Jazz, which is sold from €24,050.
