Alpenglow Hy6

The stunning Alpine Alpenglow is unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show in its most advanced version, called Alpenglow Hy6.

Revealed in 2022 at the previous Paris Motor Show in the form of a concept car, Alpenglow had already made an impression with its high-performance concept featuring a hydrogen thermal engine. This is a credible solution to offer sports models that are as pleasing to the eyes as they are to the ears while ensuring a satisfactory decarbonization balance.

“The Alpine Alpenglow concept car came to life in its rolling version presented earlier this year, and it further enhances its expressiveness by adopting its new Hy6 engine,” shares Antony Villain, the Design Director of Alpine. “The adaptation of this V6 is a technical challenge, showcased to be seen by all in a redesigned rear section. Various elements of the concept’s design evolve, sculpted by the aerodynamic requirements involved in its new performances, while visually evoking both speed and the virtuous aspects of hydrogen.”

A first rolling prototype equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine developing 340 hp demonstrated its capabilities during the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the brand ambassador, Zinédine Zidane. Here comes the Alpenglow Hy6 equipped with an entirely new engine boasting more than double this power. It features a brand new 3.5-liter V6 engine, fully developed by Alpine for optimal hydrogen combustion. It delivers 740 horsepower and promises to offer top-tier performance for the Alpenglow.
