Here is the safest utility vehicle in the world

The new Ford Transit Courier 1.2 has achieved the highest safety test score ever awarded by Euro NCAP for utility vehicles.

A good crash test rating has never been, and will never be, a guarantee of commercial success for a car, but Ford is right to boast about this impressive performance.

According to the independent Euro NCAP safety authority, accidents involving vans and minibuses are often more serious for oncoming vehicles. Frontal and rear collisions are often associated with a loss of control, highlighting the importance of installing driver assistance systems (ADAS) in utility vehicles. These systems can help prevent such accidents or mitigate their impact. 

The Transit Courier is the only van to receive the highest Platinum rating in 2023 with a score of 93%. Ford is also the first company to receive this certification under the new rigorous testing protocols introduced earlier this year. The platinum rating applies to all versions of the N1 category Ford Transit Courier, including gasoline and diesel models already leaving the production line at Ford Otosan’s factory in Craiova, Romania, and the electric E-Transit Courier 4.5, which will begin production next year.
