Toyota has chosen the Lyon Motor Show, which takes place from September 24 to 28, 2025, to unveil the new bZ4X to the French public.
Toyota’s presence illustrates the group’s strategy, which continues to bet on a multi-technology approach. The manufacturer offers a range that combines hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles, aiming to reduce emissions and meet the various needs of drivers. The event, which annually attracts a large public with over 76,000 visitors at the previous edition, reaffirms its role as a national showcase for manufacturers.

The bZ4X, already on sale since 2023, has been revamped with several enhancements. The electric SUV, which had risen among the top three best-selling models in its category in Europe, now benefits from technical and aesthetic optimizations. The front end adopts a sleeker visual signature, inspired by the so-called “hammerhead” style, while the interior is distinguished by a refined dashboard designed to enhance the feeling of space.

On the mechanical front, Toyota has worked on the eAxles, integrating the motor, inverter, and drive unit to improve power, torque, and efficiency. The range expands with three configurations: a 167 hp front-wheel-drive version equipped with a 57.7 kWh battery, a 224 hp front-wheel-drive version with a 73.1 kWh battery, and an all-wheel-drive variant developing 343 hp with the same battery capacity.
Autonomy has also progressed. The manufacturer announces up to 569 km in the WLTP mixed cycle for the most performance-oriented model, compared to 513 km previously. Software improvements and a pre-conditioning system also allow for faster charging that is better suited to daily use.
