The Surprising Strategy of Zeekr to Conquer Europe

Zeekr Germany

Zeekr, a premium manufacturer of the Chinese group Geely, is focusing on professional fleets to accelerate its expansion.

Zeekr is advancing in Europe with a strategy that few had anticipated: rather than initially targeting the general public, Geely’s premium brand is attacking the professional fleet market, a real driver of the electrification of the vehicle fleet. It’s a bold choice, but remarkably coherent. Today, fleets are the primary vector for the spread of electric vehicles: significant savings on charging, controlled operating costs, and environmental obligations pushing companies to green their vehicles. As a result, all manufacturers are courting businesses… and Zeekr intends to secure a prominent place in this market.

To succeed in this breakthrough, the brand relies on the strength of the Geely group, which holds more than 5,800 patents and collaborates with leading technological partners like Waymo. The Zeekr models are designed in Europe at the Global Design Studio in Gothenburg, shared with Volvo, Polestar, and Lynk & Co, with a clear philosophy: functional, efficient, and no frills premium. No endless options: key features – high range, fast charging, advanced driver assistance technologies – are integrated from the outset.

Premium, but not too much

The offensive rests on two pillars: the Zeekr 001, with up to 620 km of WLTP range, and the brand new Zeekr 7X, capable of charging from 10 to 80% in just 10.5 minutes at an ultra-fast charging station. All with specific settings for Europe: driving behavior adapted for long distances, retuned suspensions, more intuitive interfaces, and driving aids calibrated for intensive use. There are some salespeople who really have luck on their side!

Another surprise, Zeekr adopts a direct sales model combined with a service network scaled for fleets. Upon its arrival in Germany, the brand already has 40 certified centers, which will increase to more than 100 by the second quarter of 2026. Thanks to a partnership with Global Automotive Service GmbH, Zeekr also benefits from a network of 1,700 workshops, ensuring parts availability, quick repairs, and easy test drives, a crucial point for company vehicle drivers.
