Zeekr Challenges Tesla Model Y to Full Charge!

Zeekr continues its European offensive with the high-end large SUV 7X and its record charging speed.
Zeekr is expanding in Europe with the launch of its third electric model, the Zeekr 7X. This family high-end SUV, designed to accommodate five passengers, is now available to order in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway, with deliveries scheduled for summer 2025. Developed at the design and technology center in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Zeekr 7X relies on its parent company Geely’s modular SEA architecture, already used for the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models. With sleek lines, generous dimensions (4,787 mm in length, 1,650 mm in height), and a 2,900 mm wheelbase, the model features a design that is both dynamic and practical, offering a trunk capacity of 539 liters.

Inside, the dashboard combines comfort and technology with refined finishes and options such as massaging, heated, and ventilated seats. On the innovation side, the model features a digital cockpit based on the Snapdragon 8295 chip, a 16-inch HD touchscreen, and an augmented reality head-up display.
The 7X is available in three versions: Premium, Long Range, and Performance. The Premium and Long Range models offer rear-wheel drive with respective ranges of 480 km and 615 km. The Performance model, equipped with two electric motors for a combined power of 470 kW (639 hp), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and features an optimized all-wheel drive system for various surfaces.

But the highlight of this Zeekr is, of course, its unparalleled charging speed in the segment. With an 800 V electrical architecture and a fast charging capacity reaching 480 kW, the NMC (100 kWh) and LFP (75 kWh) batteries allow charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 13 to 16 minutes on suitable chargers. Don’t look further; no one does better today.
Zeekr is supporting the launch with extended warranties, offering coverage for five years (or 100,000 km), extendable to ten years under conditions, and an eight-year or 200,000 km battery warranty. The starting price is announced at around €52,000, about €10,000 more than its American rival. It remains to be seen whether the pleasure of ultra-fast charging justifies this difference, and especially if France will soon be included.
