The Dodge Charger Electric Reaches a Milestone

New images give us a better glimpse of this Dodge which could be the first electric Muscle Car.

Dodge symbolizes a certain proud America of massive internal combustion engines. An America where oil costs nothing and flows abundantly into tanks. But times are changing, and the brand had to retire its iconic Charger and Challenger at the end of 2023. They will be replaced by a new two-door Charger, a next-generation model that will feature an electric powertrain. The production model is expected to arrive before the end of 2024.

Before the official debut in early March, Dodge teased the electric Charger in a “Think Twice” video. The manufacturer has just added another layer in an Instagram post. The car is shown from multiple angles without camouflage.

The pre-production model ultimately looks very close to its concept-car version that we presented in August 2022, right down to the dark gray paint. The rear bumper features the word “DAYTONA” in relief in plastic, suggesting Dodge is considering validating this name for the Dodge Charger SRT Daytona.
