Tesla Model Y: Patience, its price will soon collapse!

If the idea of buying a Tesla Model Y tempts you, it is urgent to wait for a good reason: its upcoming replacement.

The question is not whether there will be a restyled Tesla Model Y, but when it will be released. Elon Musk has assured that there will be no launch in 2024. The problem with the boss of Tesla is that he changes his mind as often as he changes shirts, depending on business urgencies and market pressures from Wall Street…

If a launch in 2024 indeed seems utopian given that the mid-point of the year has already passed, everything indicates that the reveal of the restyled Tesla Model Y – code name Juniper – will happen before the end of the year. Tesla’s schedule is now well-established, much like Apple’s Keynotes.

Development has begun

In the United States, car spotters have already spotted the first development models of this modernized Tesla Model Y on the road. Similar to the Tesla Model 3 a year earlier, these test vehicles feature camouflage on the front and rear sections.

We can easily deduce that the look of the Model Y will be refined and more aerodynamic. The rear will also have a more modern light signature. The profile is expected to remain unchanged, although new hubcaps or wheels (elements at lower cost) will obviously appear.

On these circulating models, the interior is also heavily protected. As with the Model 3 “phase 2,” ergonomics and interior design will be at the forefront of attention. A second rear screen will notably be installed.

Finally, new solutions and energy management will allow the Model Y to gain additional valuable kilometers in range.

Significant discounts coming?

Everything suggests that this new restyled Tesla Model Y will be launched at the end of 2024, with deliveries expected around the first quarter of 2025. Consequently, it will soon be necessary to resort to generous discounts to clear stock of the current Model Y.

The arrival of a Long Range Propulsion version was already a sign that motivation needed to be refreshed before interest waned. Finally, in the United States, the standard Propulsion version has already disappeared from the catalog for industrial and commercial rationality.

Waiting means ensuring either a current Tesla Model Y at a lower price or a new one at just the right time.
