Renault Megane E-Tech officially priced at €28,300

The month of June is ideal for significant discounts in dealerships, such as for the Renault Megane E-Tech entry-level model.

Who still thinks that driving a French electric car is expensive? Little by little, the difference with Chinese competitors is diminishing. And this will even be definitively the case in a few days, when on July 1, 2024, the tariffs on cars from China will skyrocket in Europe, which will impact retail prices.

From then on, a MG4 will cost the same as a Renault Megane E-Tech. But that is no reason for Renault to wait. Thus, the 100% electric compact car from the Diamond company is benefiting from a discount of 1700 euros, which brings the price down, after deducting a 4000 euro bonus, to 28,300 euros.

Small Battery Model

We are talking here about the entry-level version of the Renault Megane E-Tech range, meaning a vehicle that is perfectly suited for 90% of a family’s everyday needs. With its 40 kW battery and 130 horsepower, it can cover 250 real kilometers (300 km WLTP) for a cost of about 8 euros in energy. A gasoline thermal equivalent would cost about 27 euros for the same distance traveled, not to mention higher maintenance costs.

Charging at home or at work can reach up to 7 kW, compared to 85 kW when plugged into a fast DC charging station.

Although a bit more expensive to purchase, a Renault Megane electric allows for significant savings over time and mileage.
