Polestar expands its stock models

We still don’t know when Polestar will arrive in France, or even if the manufacturer plans to do so. But in Belgium, prices are dropping!

Times are tough for Polestar. Beyond consistently modest sales, the Chinese group’s manufacturer has just seen its orders blocked by its main corporate client, Hertz. A situation that forced the manufacturer to reduce its staff and which has disappointed its main shareholder Volvo. Even in Sweden, trouble seems to come in waves!

However, Polestar is not lacking in ambition with the highly anticipated launch of the Polestar 4. This model offers many innovative solutions, notably the disappearance of the rear window, which will likely disorient second-row passengers who are promised an “immersive experience.” Passengers are enveloped in an intimate environment, with electrically adjustable seats. Ambient lighting, inspired by the solar system, allows for environment customization. It remains to be seen if this can replace real light… In doubt, claustrophobic individuals should refrain. Sales across Europe begin at a guideline starting price of 63,200 euros. First deliveries are expected from August. It’s still very expensive for a vehicle in this segment.

We are selling off the Polestar 2

But before welcoming these new cars, space needs to be made in dealerships. It is therefore possible to find a Polestar 2 entry-level Standard starting at 37,182 euros excluding VAT. Not bad for a model that was still valued at 50,000 euros just a few months ago! Even with a significant French VAT, the discount is substantial.

The Polestar 2 for the 2024 model year features a 200 kW (272 hp) motor, up from 170 kW in the earlier versions, with a maximum torque of 490 Nm. Its total range reaches 539 km on the WLTP cycle, with charging power of 135 kW. Standard equipment is generous, including a blind-spot detector, 360° camera, rear collision alerts, and wireless phone charger.
