OFFICIAL: Tesla Model Y drops to €37,990!

Still eligible for ecological bonus in France, the Tesla Model Y is reduced by 3,000 euros and is now available starting at 37,990 euros.

The standoff has begun! We keep reiterating at Mobiwisy, but the arrival of the electric Renault Scenic has acted as a shock on the market. The loss of the ecological bonus for the Tesla Model 3 has not helped, and now the American manufacturer must respond.

And not in small proportions! -3000 euros immediate discount on the Model Y Propulsion, the brand’s bestseller, proof that sales must have begun to slow down. Thanks to the ecological bonus it retained, as it is produced in Berlin, Germany, the Model Y now drops to 37,990 euros. This repositions it intriguingly on the market.

The fierce competition from the new Renault Scenic explains a lot, but not only that. We know that Tesla is preparing to modernize its Model Y, as it did with the Model 3 in September 2023. It’s therefore about clearing out stocks before the arrival of the new version, which is promised in the course of 2024.

This promise of a new car must have encouraged customers to wait, which is never good for business…

Thus repositioned, the Model Y Propulsion regains market power thanks to its features, priced “only” 3000 euros more than the entry-level Renault Scenic (170 hp and a 60 kWh battery). The superior equipment and performance of the American should, at least for now, greatly challenge Renault and other players in the electric vehicle market.

Finally, note that the Tesla Model Y Long Range also drops by 3,000 euros, now priced at 49,990 euros.
