Polestar Arctic Circle

Rest assured, you don’t need to go to Lapland to have fun on ice with these very special Polestars.

Polestar makes a strong impression with a new collection of unique models called “Arctic Circle.” After unveiling the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle in 2022, the Swedish brand takes the concept even further by extending it to the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. These three rally-inspired models will be first presented on February 1st during the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, a sort of winter Goodwood.

Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, explains: “With the Arctic Circle collection, we showcase our performance DNA, blending motorsport and Scandinavian design. Our cars are tested in extreme conditions deep in the Swedish polar circle. And at the FAT Ice Race, we’ll prove that nothing beats a Polestar on ice. We’re really excited to participate in this event that celebrates car culture and driving experience.”

It all started with a slightly crazy idea from Joakim Rydholm, head of dynamic testing at Polestar and avid rally driver, who contributed his expertise to adapt this performance DNA across the entire range. With over 30 years of rally experience and several podium finishes, he worked with the design and branding teams to infuse the rally spirit into each model.

Joakim explains: “When we created the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, we knew we had something special. Extending this concept to our new SUVs was a real challenge but incredibly exciting. Thanks to our technological partners, we developed bespoke solutions that make these cars incredibly fun to drive.”

Built in an R&D center in Sweden, these cars feature a rally palette: adjustable Öhlins suspension, studded Pirelli tires, OZ Racing wheels (a world first), Stedi headlights, and Recaro bucket seats. Accessories like skis, roof racks, and emergency equipment are also included. The perfect occasion to showcase Polestar’s style in a new light.
