2025 Goal for the Suzuki eVX

Revealed at Auto Expo in India in January 2023, Suzuki’s 100% electric SUV is showcased in a pre-production version at the Japan Mobility Show.

Suzuki was one of the few traditional automakers not yet to release a fully electric vehicle. Fans of the brand will soon be able to enjoy it, but isn’t it already too late?

The exterior design of the 4.3m long, 1.8m wide, and 1.6m high concept has evolved, and the interior is revealed for the first time.

Suzuki has not published detailed technical specifications for the eVX, other than it features all-wheel drive, is larger than the Vitara, and comes with a battery capacity close to 60 kWh with an announced range of 550 km. This seems very optimistic given the battery configuration, and a more realistic range might be around 400 km.

The Suzuki eVX concept car has a sharp, aggressive design that suggests it is ready for off-road adventures. However, it is still in the early stages of development, and some aspects may change before production. We know that Suzuki is working closely with Inmotive, a Canadian company, on a project to develop a two-speed transmission for electric vehicles that would improve efficiency and range. This technology will likely be used in this future Suzuki electric vehicle.
