Dacia Proves That Size Matters with Bigster
How many times have you heard that size doesn’t matter? Dacia proves to us that bigger isn’t necessarily less interesting.
Without disparaging the other Dacia models, the Duster is certainly the only vehicle in the range that can provoke an impulse purchase. From its launch, the SUV has charmed with a solid look, real off-road capabilities, and above all, an unbeatable price. This is still true, and perhaps more true than ever, with the latest generation adopting a resolutely modern design while retaining the original model’s DNA. Driving a Dacia is no longer an act of resistance but simply a smart choice, which is certainly the most important thing.
So if you’re offered a bit more Duster, will you take it? That’s the proposal made today by Dacia with the Bigster.

When Dust means dust and makes you understand that your Duster can handle a bit of off-roading and rugged paths, Big means big and confirms that you will get your money’s worth. However, there are no surprises as the Bigster is ultimately just an elongated Duster despite some very minor external modifications. Its generous dimensions remain harmonious thanks to simple, geometric, taut shapes and volumes that get to the point. The imposing fenders protecting the wheels, along with the front headlights and rear lights pushed to the vehicle’s extremities, contribute to reinforcing its solid stance.

The Bigster comes standard with 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels, but of course, the 19-inch wheels available as an option on the higher Journey trim suit it best. A giant in ballet flats doesn’t quite fit. A bi-tone paint option with a black roof, a first for Dacia, further lightens the line despite an increased height of 3.5 cm. Ultimately, the Bigster doesn’t look clumsy.
The interior doesn’t evolve much, except for the first time in a Dacia, a high console that integrates an armrest with a cooled compartment, an induction charger, and ample storage. In this version, the screen increases to 10 inches compared to 7 for the lower versions. Space is, of course, the strong point of this new proposal measuring 4.57 meters long, which is 23 cm longer than the Duster, mainly gained from the rear overhang. The trunk thus reaches 660 liters.

Prices for the Duster start at 16,690 euros. Let’s see if the Bigster doesn’t price its additional centimeters too high.
