Acquired at the end of 2024, this exceptional Porsche is already being auctioned

In 1999, Porsche introduced the 911 GT3, a perfect blend of the prestigious DNA of the brand in motorsport and the purpose of any good 911 to be used daily. Far from the monstrous GT2, RS, and other ridiculously sporty variants, the GT3 emphasized lightness, purity, and driving pleasure. For that, nothing beats a naturally aspirated Flat 6 engine with shrill screams to evoke unparalleled emotions. In 1999, electric cars were just a project, and internal combustion engines were not on the radar of all lawmakers. In 1999, everything was possible, but that’s no longer the case today. However, Porsche has decided to continue the lineage and introduced in October 2024 a new iteration, disregarding censors and censorship!

Leaning back behind the rear axle, the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter boxer engine develops 518 hp and delivers a torque of 450 Nm. The most passionate could equip their 911 GT3 with the Weissach pack, which allows for personalized settings and custom paints such as the famous Rubystar. That is the case with this example offered at auction by influencer Supercar Blondie on her dedicated site SBX Cars. The car has only 2,000 km and comes from the United Arab Emirates.

Porsche knows very well that by offering limited series of its most extreme models it automatically places them in the collectible car category. Let’s not blame the German manufacturer; it’s the same for all sports car manufacturers. Bugatti even offers display cases to store its cars! Yesterday’s pleasure objects have become tomorrow’s financial investments. But it is important to remember that, unlike works of art, these rolling objects age quickly and increasingly poorly due to their onboard electronics. Porsche’s PDK transmission is, for example, an absolute marvel of engineering, but it does not handle inactivity well. Maintaining these jewels costs extremely high, approaching the ratio of a yacht, which is estimated at 10% of the purchase price each year. The follow-up on this sale will be interesting, as just a few minutes after the auction was posted, 100,000 euros are already at stake for a purchase price of 300,000 euros and an estimated double.
