Good news for future buyers of the Kia EV2. The electric SUV is now eligible for the environmental bonus across its entire range.
Kia enhances the appeal of its new EV2. The Korean manufacturer announces that the entire range is now officially eligible for the French eco-score, allowing all versions to benefit from purchase aid measures, including the ecological bonus when applicable. This important development positions the small electric SUV as one of the most competitive offerings on the market.
Until now, only certain trims were included. Since July 17, 2026, the Long Range versions and the Light trim have joined the already labeled Air and Earth trims. Produced at the Kia factory in Žilina, Slovakia, the EV2 meets French criteria related to carbon footprint. The batteries of the Long Range version are also manufactured in Europe, allowing the model to qualify for a higher CEE Coup de Pouce subsidy that can reach €8,100 depending on the eligibility conditions.
Two batteries for up to 453 km of range
The Kia EV2 is offered with two batteries. The Standard Range version is equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery offering up to 317 km of WLTP range. The Long Range version, featuring a 61 kWh battery, claims up to 453 km WLTP, suitable for both daily commutes and more ambitious trips.
Beyond its pricing strategy, the EV2 offers a particularly comprehensive equipment list starting from the Light trim. A triple panoramic screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, and fast charging that can go from 10 to 80% in 29 minutes are included as standard. The Air, Earth, and GT-Line trims gradually enhance the equipment with dual-zone climate control, flush door handles, wheels up to 19 inches, highway driving assistant HDA 2, and Harman Kardon audio system.
