Scooter Rentals: A New Electric Three-Wheeler for Zeway

Like other Zeway models, this new model features easily exchangeable batteries at designated stations.

Zeway is expanding its electric scooter lineup with a new three-wheeled model, the swapperTriango+. Like the other vehicles in the range, it will only be available through a subscription.

swapperX+, the 125 cc equivalent without a third wheel from Zeway. Like it, it has a 5 kW electric motor. Despite a weight increase of 14 kilograms, performance remains unchanged, with a 0 to 45 km/h acceleration in 5 seconds and a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

The two removable batteries ensure a theoretical range of 60 km. They are housed in the trunk and can be easily removed since they are simply “placed” on connectors rather than connected via a cable. In terms of autonomy, Zeway promises about 60 km with both batteries fully charged.

A new Zeway not yet on the market

The concept of exchangeable batteries, which is the hallmark of Zeway, is naturally preserved on this new model. Users will therefore be able to go to one of the 41 stations scattered across Paris and nearby suburbs to drop off empty batteries and pick up full ones. The process only takes a few seconds. Conventional charging via the network remains possible, but it requires a special support (or charging dock), priced at €170 on models already marketed. The swapperTriango+ is not yet available but is currently being showcased at the Paris Motor Show.

The prices for this new model will be announced later. They will undoubtedly be higher than those of the swapperX+, which is set at €149/month with a 3-year subscription, or €210/month with a no-commitment plan.
