Horwin Senmenti 0: The Chinese BMW CE 04

The Chinese company Horwin has just unveiled the Senmenti 0, an electric scooter that could be a promising alternative to the CE 04.

In terms of design already, this new model adopts the futuristic theme of BMW, with tapered fairings and a shortened rear section. When it comes to performance and driving experience, the Senmenti 0 also aims to deliver thrills. According to Horwin, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, accelerating much faster than the CE 04, which takes 9.1 seconds for this feat. It can also reach higher speeds, with a top speed of 200 km/h (120 km/h for the BMW).

Large battery, long range

The Senmenti 0 is equipped with a 16.2 kWh battery. This is a significant capacity for an electric two-wheeler, which would ensure excellent range. Horwin promises 300 km at a steady speed of 88 km/h. A full charge would take only 30 minutes on a fast charger.

The Chinese scooter is packed with onboard technology. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it learns to adapt to the rider’s behavior. The rider’s daily life will also be easier with hill start assist and downhill assist. The scooter also features ABS and collision radars. For comfort, it includes heated grips and a heated seat, as well as a keyless start system that can operate via a dedicated mobile app.

Horwin is a credible player in the electric scooter market, with several models already available, including in France. The chances of the Senmenti 0 ever reaching the market are not entirely zero, even if the project may seem a bit too ambitious in some aspects. The fact that pre-orders are open shows that Horwin does not intend to stop there. However, we will have to wait a little longer to get an idea of the price.
