Jogger Hybrid 140: Dacia’s First Hybrid Vehicle in History
This page is translated from the original post "Jogger Hybrid 140 : la première Dacia hybride de l’histoire" in French.

Until now, a Dacia was either combustion-powered or electric. The hybrid Jogger introduces a new type of powertrain for the French-Romanian brand.
After successfully entering the electric vehicle market, Dacia is preparing to launch the hybrid version of the Jogger. An important release for the brand, which is steadily but surely progressing in its transition.
The hybrid system of the Jogger combines a 90 HP 4-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors, for a combined output of 140 HP. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission without a clutch, of which 2 gears are dedicated to electric driving.
The Jogger Hybrid is not a plug-in vehicle. Therefore, there is no need to connect it to charge the small 1.2 kWh battery. In return, the all-electric range is quite limited, although Dacia promises “up to 80% of city driving time in full electric”. A “Brake” mode will increase regenerative braking and thus recharge the battery more quickly. In terms of efficiency, the gains would be about 40% in urban cycles compared to a comparable combustion model. The vehicle could thus travel over 900 km on a full tank.

How much does a Dacia Jogger Hybrid cost?
Dacia has updated the instrument cluster for this new version to include information specific to the hybrid system. The battery is located under the trunk floor, in the space usually reserved for the spare wheel. This setup allows maintaining the same trunk volume as the gasoline-powered Jogger models.
Ordering for the Jogger Hybrid will open in January 2023, with first units arriving at dealerships in March 2023. With a starting price of €24,600, this electrified Jogger will become the most expensive model in the lineup. Nonetheless, considering the features offered, it will remain highly competitive financially.
