Electra launches the hot Kakau Go electric bike!

Recovering tribal patterns and fenders, the new Electra Kakau Go! electric bike maintains a price below €2,000.

A Californian brand created by two Germans in 1993, Electra, with its evocative name, only ventured into electric bikes in 2013. Ten years after this transition, the range is complete and expanded with the arrival of a new model, Kākau Go!.

A cruiser inspired by tribal motifs

The Electra Kākau Go! is based on an existing model, the Cruiser Go!. It retains the entire foundation, including the distinctive frame, long wheelbase, high and curved handlebars, large comfortable saddle, and more. In short, everything that makes this bicycle a cruiser, reminiscent of motorcycles of the same name, characterized primarily by the large 27.5-inch balloon tires.

However, the Kākau Go! adds fenders with a distinctive decorated design. The electric bike draws inspiration from Polynesian art, specifically “a tribal pattern inspired by traditional tattoo art, known as Kākau”. This motif is also visible on the grips, bell, and rear of the saddle.

The frame is painted in matte brown, “evoking the lava rocks found on all the islands”, and features the large Electra logo. The size is single, suitable for heights from 1.60 to 1.85 meters according to the American manufacturer, while the weight increases to 21.7 kg (compared to 20 kg for the Cruiser).

How much does the Electra Kakau Go! cost?

The brand also retains the original electric assistance. The Hyena rear motor of 40 Nm powers the bike, while the 250 Wh battery is sufficient for a range of 40 km in eco mode.
